Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) are eager to move on from their adolescent issues. They join the police department and the covert Jump Street team, and go undercover in a nearby high school using their youthful appearances. Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives to investigate a violent and hazardous narcotics operation, trading their firearms and badges for backpacks. However, they discover that high school is not what they left it just a few years ago, and neither expects to have to face the horror and anxiety of being a teenager again, along with all the troubles they thought they had left behind.
